It is really simple to make bread-based ground bait. This has the addition of custard and angel delight to make the flavour, scent and colour.
I’ve used this with good effect – albeit with variations. I did not use pellets or boilies. I guess this recipe uses it to add extra scent and flavour. I just added a few dashes of fish sauce to add a strong fishy smell and taste to the water. I also did not have any strawberry angel delight so replaced it with some handy raspberry flavour instead.
I got some nice perch and chub out of the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal using this recipe.
