The first fishing tackle test at the new testing ground at Barry Docks :).
This test is with a 3 pack of hard fishing lures. They are the 8cm 14g ‘baby perch’ lures. The lures are realistically painted and come with 7 segments held together with a strong kevlar strip. These swim baits offer great movement and cast easily and smoothly. The baits have two treble hooks on them made from stainless steel.
14g is a good weight for lure fishing in the moderate wind but may be a bit light for very gusty conditions. Overall these cast very well and provided good swim action on the reel-in. I’ll definitely use these again when I come down at dusk and when the bass are feeding.
The pack I tested is currently out of stock but there are many other packs of Trehook hard lures available for purchase on the website. The 8cm 14g lures can still be bought individually or in a set of 5.
